The RSF engages in this struggle not by choice but in self-defense

In solemn honor of the valiant heroes who have laid down their lives in the pursuit of democracy and justice, and with heartfelt wishes for the swift recovery of the wounded, we commend the courageous achievements of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) as our soldiers continue to prevail across all fronts on the battlefield.

The RSF engages in this struggle not by choice but in self-defense, confronting the former regime and its network of oppressors — the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the terrorist Islamic Movement. Substantial evidence exposes their calculated conspiracy to ignite and prolong conflict, ruthlessly seizing power while violating the rights of Sudanese civilians.

Since the start of this war on April 15, 2023, we have seen clearly the schemes of the former regime, the SAF, and the terrorist Islamic Movement. These factions, with callous disregard for Sudanese civilian lives and freedoms, have orchestrated a plan centered on three destructive strategies:

Strategy One: Swift Military Conquest

From the onset, their objective was rapid military conquest at any cost, amassing foreign support and mercenary forces. Yet, through divine intervention and the unbreakable spirit of our heroic RSF soldiers, their plans have been met with unwavering resistance and ultimate failure.

Strategy Two: Manufacturing Chaos

1. They have freed more than 35,000 criminals — including members of the National Congress Party — from prison.

2. Enlisting over 50,000 criminals from various tribes, disguised as members of the RSF, they have unleashed terror through looting, murder, and other heinous crimes, all intended to defame our forces. We have apprehended many of these imposters.

3. They have sought to fuel tribal discord, moving the conflict from Khartoum to Darfur and Kordofan. In defiance of these malicious efforts, we have thwarted their plans to destabilize Darfur and Kordofan.

Strategy Three: Instigating Civil War

Their agenda to ignite a civil war between communities is evident through:

- Inciting hate speech and racism, adopted by the coup leaders, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and Yasser al-Atta;

- Fomenting internecine strife to fracture society along ethnic and regional lines;

- Arming battalions linked to the terrorist Islamic Movement, the Shadow Brigades, and civilian militias under the guise of “Popular Resistance” forces;

- Mobilizing tribal factions to justify mass killings on ethnic grounds under fabricated claims of self-defense.

Having failed to execute these strategies in Darfur, Kordofan, and beyond, the region of Darfur now stands largely liberated from their insidious operations.

Current Developments in Gezira

Undeterred, the SAF and the terrorist Islamic Movement, with the complicity of the traitor Abu Agla Kaikal, have now refocused their campaign on Gezira, where they have:

- Armed villages with support from SAF intelligence operatives and Islamic Movement battalions;

- Disarmed RSF personnel through deceitful means, while simultaneously weaponizing thousands in Gezira;

- Arbitrarily imprisoned RSF soldiers, eliminated others, and deployed Special Operations units against us;

- Called their forces to prepare for an intensified attack, resulting in public displays of force in East Gezira.

We now confront enemy forces equipped with both heavy and light arms, armed vehicles, and drones, resulting in the tragic loss of hundreds of RSF personnel. Yet we continue to prevail on the battlefield and our resolve remains steadfast: we will defend ourselves and safeguard Sudan from forces that aim to harm our nation and its people.

Our Unwavering Dedication to Peace and Civilian Protection

For a time, Gezira enjoyed security and stability, but the SAF and the terrorist Islamic Movement, driven by a relentless lust for power, seek to dismantle this peace. We harbor no enmity against any tribe but will defend ourselves decisively against armed aggression.

We categorically reject the return of the former regime in any shape or form.

Any individual brandishing arms under the false banner of “Popular Resistance” is a legitimate target, as self-defense is an internationally recognized right.

The RSF is unyieldingly committed to protecting civilians in all regions under our control. Throughout history, war has tragically resulted in human rights violations; however, our laws and principles strictly prohibit harm to civilians. Our leadership’s directive is clear and unwavering – under no circumstances shall women, children, or innocents be harmed, nor property seized. Violations will be promptly addressed and rectified.

We call upon all Sudanese leaders, tribal communities, and civil administrations to stand firm against the schemes of the SAF and the terrorist Islamic Movement, which aim to sow division and provoke civil strife. We ask citizens to reject false calls to arms and to report any infiltration attempts by the Islamic Movement or Special Operations units.

Our resolve remains resolute – we will defend Sudan and protect the people of our country from tyranny. We will fight to restore peace and, with Allah’s guidance, ensure that all Sudanese people will one day return to their homes in peace and dignity.
